The most powerful meal I had today

The most powerful meal I had today… was the one I didn’t eat.
Today is Wednesday, and every Wednesday my husband and I fast together.
No breakfast.
No lunch.
Just water, prayer, and reflection.
At some point during the day I looked down at this empty plate and fork and thought about how strange it is that something so simple can feel so powerful.
Because fasting isn’t really about food.
It’s about intention.
Every Wednesday we pause our normal routine and dedicate that time to prayer, reflection, and resetting our focus.
In a world that constantly tells us to consume more, do more, and move faster, fasting forces us to slow down.
Principle (The Lesson)
Discipline is built in the quiet decisions nobody sees.
Not the big announcements.
Not the big goals.
Just the small commitments we keep with ourselves.
When you learn to control small things—like a meal—you build the discipline to control bigger things… like your goals, habits, and future.
That same discipline shows up in every area of life.
Faith.
Health.
Business.
Goals.
The people who achieve the most aren’t always the most talented.
They’re usually the ones who have learned the power of consistent discipline.
If you’re serious about setting and achieving your goals, you don’t have to do it alone.
