“People can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves.”— Sheréa VéJauan
When someone can’t understand your drive,
your vision,
or your hunger…
it’s often because they haven’t done that work within themselves.
When someone can’t support your growth,
it may be because their own growth has stalled.
This is not an excuse for their behavior.
It’s a lens for your understanding.
Meet people where they are.
But stop expecting depth
from people who haven’t gone there yet.
Not everyone has faced themselves deeply enough
to hold the deeper parts of you.
And that realization can hurt.
But it can also free you.
Free you from over-explaining.
Free you from seeking validation in shallow spaces.
Free you from expecting emotional capacity
from people who haven’t developed it yet.
Protect your peace.
Stop asking shallow spaces
to hold deep parts of you.
Stay locked in.
Stay consistent.
Finish what you start.
